Meet Joy . . . Our Chief Morale Officer Extraordinaire

Updated: May 6

More than ever, Joy can feel illusive . . . just out of our grasp. But not for our Chief Morale Officer. Joy is the embodiment of true, unadulterated joy. Just in case you're wondering, she is seven, going on two and always ready to play, no matter what.

How would being more playful enrich our lives? What difference would it make if we approached the day looking for opportunities to have some fun and be playful in whatever we are doing? After all, what we focus on we create more of.

How we experience this time of uncertainty and confusion is a choice. Now I'm not talking about being in denial or stuffing our real feelings. They are real and we need to make room for them. We just don't need to let them rule our day. Once we acknowledge them and then release them, well we can make room for new possibilities.

Let's choose Joy! The posts that follow contain some great advice on how to deal with this crisis, from none other than Joy herself!

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. (Christopher McCandless)
